Shoshan Surin

Shoshan Surin migrated from the forested village of Kulburu in Gumla, Jharkhand in late nineties and spent next two decades working in a North Indian city as a domestic helper. He lacked formal literacy yet he was deeply educated with human values. He didn't allow his odd job or lack of wealth to compromise his human dignity, honesty and simplicity. Along with us he aspired to start an NGO  in his native village Kulburu and work with the fellow villagers for its all round development. Sadly a brief illness abruptly ended his life in the summer of 2021 at an early age of 41. Shortly before his death he wished us to continue with the journey we planned together.
