Shoshan SurinFoundation is a charitable Trust (NGO) for developing rural communities, disassociating backwardness from rural identity, making our villages inspiring habitat offering engagement, livelihood, growth and sustainable benefits of modern life to the villagers.

The Foundation works on four development dimensions viz. Education, Healthcare, Entrepreneurship development and building rural infrastructure simultaneously.

Instead of helping upward mobility of individuals to escape the clutch of poverty the Foundation will inspire building a development model of social arrangement that inspires better lives for the entire community, improve overall community capacity, thus the underserved groups feel empowered driving their own transformation and demand development on their own terms and bargain for resources from an informed position and equitably.

The Foundation is committed to promoting democracy and equality in all its activities without assigning prejudice to any form of natural or social identities like gender orientation, caste, religion, profession, ancestry, skin colour or wealth.

In the initial years, the Foundation will work at Kulburu, a central Indian village in the Gumla district of the state of Jharkhand.
